2. Food Safety and Management

  1. Open flames are not permitted in the venue.

    1. If the exhibit is related to food and drink:

      1. Please use microwave ovens, instant pots, or other electric stoves if you need to heat your meals.

        1. Exhibitors shall not violate the Food Sanitation Control Law or other related laws and regulations. They shall attach relevant food safety inspection documents if necessary.

        2. Strong-smelling foods, beverages, fried foods (e.g., sausages, stinky tofu, cuttlefish balls, sugarcane juice, and roasted chestnuts), and items with food safety and hygiene concerns are prohibited in Flower Expo pavilion venues unless otherwise approved by the organizer.

        3. Exhibitors may use cooking utensils such as electric and magnetic stoves or ovens to cook food only with the organizer’s permission. They should comply with Fire Safety regulations and food hygiene laws and regulations.

        4. Fumes generated from cooking inside the exhibition halls must not be directly emitted outside the halls during the event period. Activated charcoal and other environmentally friendly fume treatment facilities must be installed.

        5. Please pay attention to electricity consumption safety and ensure to assess the electricity demand in advance when using on-site electric stoves. If you need to consume more electricity, please read [Attachment 3: Additional booth power supply application and configuration drawing instructions]. Then, complete the [Booth Power Supply Application] form and [Booth Water and Electricity Layout] form on the G-EIGHT Exhibitors' Site before 31 October 2024 (Thu) to apply for additional power supply from the applicant team. This will avoid exceeding the maximum load the booth supply and drawing instructions can hold, which could cause the power supply to be tripped.

        6. In response to the Taipei City Government's policy of promoting waste reduction, energy saving, carbon reduction, and environmental protection, exhibitors are encouraged to use environmentally friendly tableware when serving food and beverages at their booths. If there is a need for disposable tableware, we recommend disposable tableware made of paper or bamboo. Plastic and Minolta tableware are prohibited. Please guide the on-site public in implementing waste separation.

        7. To maintain the cleanliness of the exhibition venue, exhibitors providing catering services are required to lay down protective mats or waterproof carpets within their booth area to prevent food or beverage stains on the venue floor. During the exhibition period and bump-in/bump-out phases, if any food or beverage stains are left behind due to catering services, exhibitors are responsible for cleaning them. The [Attachment 9, Bump-in/Bump-out Inspection Form] will not be signed off if the cleaning is incomplete.
