5. Facility Usage and Force Majeure

For matters involving venue facilities, emergency incidents, or force majeure, the organizer and venue management reserve the right to interpret regulations and adjust activities without bearing liability. Details are as follows:

  1. Exhibitors must apply for and use venue-provided water and electricity in accordance with regulations. The organizer and the Taipei Expo Foundation are not responsible for any disruptions caused by venue equipment failure, power outages (Taiwan Power Company), or water supply issues (Taipei Water Department), including leakages that cannot be immediately repaired.

  2. If such incidents cause losses, exhibitors may not seek compensation from the organizer or the foundation.

  3. In the event that all or part of the event cannot proceed due to force majeure, neither party shall be held liable. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to:

    • Natural disasters: earthquakes, typhoons, floods, landslides, lightning, hail, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis

    • Human-caused or social events: war, riots, civil unrest, terrorism, national mourning, changes in law

    • Public health and disasters: severe infectious diseases, nuclear/chemical incidents, radioactive contamination (as defined by law)

    • Other events officially recognized in writing by competent authorities

  4. If the event cannot proceed due to the death or critical illness of a main performer (with hospital certificate or public statement), or due to major venue equipment failure, neither party shall be held liable.

  5. In any of the above situations, the organizer or the Taipei Expo Foundation reserves the right to close the venue, terminate indoor/outdoor activities, and evacuate all on-site personnel at any time.
